Having a stripped screw hole can be very frustrating. No matter how much you twist that screw, it just won’t fit tight. Luckily, if the screw hole is on wood, there is a very easy solution.
You will only need two simple materials. These are:
- Wood glue
The first thing we must do is calculate how many toothpicks we’ll need. It’s usually two or three, but it depends on the size of the hole. Just try fitting as many toothpicks as you can.
Next, we’ll add glue to the points of the toothpicks. The purpose of this is to stick the toothpicks in the whole and having them tight and secure.
The next thing we must do is to stick the toothpicks inside the screw hole. Then wait for the glue to dry.
When the toothpicks are tight and secure there, just break the superior part of them. This way the hole is filled with wood.
Now that the screw hole is filled with wood, onces you try to adjust a screw there, you shouldn’t have a problem. It will fit tightly there and your problem is gone.
